The Ownership of International ATMO

 

Paul J Sheffield, PhD is President and one of the original founders of International ATMO. He is also Past President of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and the Aerospace Physiology Society. For many years, he has served on the two major safety committees for hyperbaric facilities, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He currently chairs the Education Committee of the UHMS. He has published over 100 scientific papers, and is the primary editor of the Wound Care Practice textbook.

James C. Sheffield, BBA, CHT is Director of Development for International ATMO. He started his hyperbaric medicine career in 1979. His experience includes direct patient care and management, including positions as Personnel Director and Chief Financial Officer. He has performed reimbursement consulting for several wound/hyperbaric centers. As a contract service provider, he conducts ongoing billing and reimbursement audits. He also serves on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Committee on Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy.

Robert B. Sheffield, BA, CHT is Director of Education for International ATMO. He started his career in hyperbaric medicine in 1985. His experience includes direct patient care and management in several hyperbaric facilities, both monoplace and multiplace. He has experience with design, implementation, technical support, and reimbursement support of several wound/hyperbaric centers. He has been actively involved in hyperbaric education since 1987, serving on the faculty of several training courses and seminars. He developed the first training course for hyperbaric safety directors and the first certification review course for CHT/CHRN exam candidates. He currently Chairs the National Fire Protection Association Technical Committee on Hyperbaric and Hypobaric Facilities; and is the Chairman of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society Hyperbaric Oxygen Safety Committee.
